Percutaneous and endoscopic lumbar techniques
The program addressed the core principles and techniques used in minimally invasive spinal surgery, with a focus on:
- percutaneous lumbar approaches;
- endoscopic spinal surgery techniques;
- endoscopic discectomy and minimally invasive decompression;
- the use of imaging guidance and surgical planning;
- indications and proper patient selection.
Hands-on practical experience
The practical component allowed participants to practice the presented techniques using specimens and to better understand the nuances of minimally invasive approaches.
Under the guidance of the trainers, participants went through the procedural steps, from approach planning and anatomical orientation to performing endoscopic and percutaneous techniques.
The emphasis was placed on precision, safety, and the applicability of these techniques in clinical practice.
Medical education for modern spinal surgery
Through the NORD Spine Academy courses, ARAI – The Romanian Association for Interventional Algesiology continues to develop training programs dedicated to minimally invasive spinal surgery, combining theoretical expertise with hands-on practical experience.
These programs aim to provide physicians with a structured framework for mastering modern techniques and integrating them responsibly into their medical practice.
